I'm going to be purchasing a new tractor in the next month. I've narrowed my selections down to the Kubota 3000DT or the New Holland TC30 (Kioti may be in the running also) The NH is $1000-$1500 less than the Kubota. Is the Kubota worth that much more? They have all the same basic features/capacities, the NH has 9/3 tranny vs a 8/2. Any help would be appreciated by this happy rookie!

Did you look at the Kubota L-3010?? I did and I would chose that over your other two picks. Great pricing on it too. ....

Yes thats a great machine but it's about $17,000 here with a FEL. The NH is $13,500. I can't spend $17k for a tractor right now. Thank's,
Darrell ....

Drive them both a couple of times and let your gut tell you which one. They both are good tractors. ....

I had the same delema a few months ago. with the same tractors. i studied the brochures and was online reading what others had to say.
I bought a L3000dt w/FEL. why? i guess reputation and word of mouth. i knew some people that had one and they were very happy. the kubota was actually cheaper in my area than the NH.
I have had it a little over a month and put 35 hours on it. it has performed flawlessly . i am actually impressed with it. I have done more mowing with a rotary cutter and the thing is great. the FEL is a must IMO.
i am so glad i got that and i wouldnt recommend anyone buy one without one.
The only complaint i guess i have is that the front tie rod boots are soft and i have torn two. now i have run it in the woods. i replaced them and built some guards out of angle iron for them. i will see if that solves that problem.
I think they are both good tractors and for the money you can't go wrong. and you know what i don't mind the shifting i always had to do it on an old ford 3600 i ran. yeah it takes a little more time so?
good luck in your choice.
( oh yeah i think they redesigned the tc 30 hood , i passed the NH dealer and he had one that looked like it had a sloped hood on it) ....
